Had a fantastic time with friends! We explored the Central Market and checked out the National Theater. The free valet parking was a lifesaver, and the breakfast really hit the spot each morning. Definitely recommend for a fun group...  

The location is fantastic—it's right in the historic center of San José, making it super convenient to explore local attractions. I had a very relaxing stay in a Deluxe Double Room with Balcony, and the free valet parking was definitely a plus. The breakfast included in the package was delicious and set me up for a day of sightseeing. Just keep your expectations realistic regarding the room's charm.

The check-in process was a complete disaster, with a mix-up on our room type that took far too long to resolve. To make matters worse, the service was incredibly unhelpful and dismissive. After waiting endlessly, I received no assistance with my bags, making it very challenging for me and my senior mom. The overall atmosphere felt sketchy and unwelcoming, contributing to an unpleasant stay.

On the downside, the hotel showed signs of age, with an outdated room decoration and occasional air conditioning issues. Additionally, cleanliness in certain areas left much to be desired.

The bathroom was a bit tired. I’d rate the mildew on the shower curtain as my new BFF. And let's just say I didn't come to Costa Rica for their 'delightful' water—tastes like a tap dance in a metal bucket!

This place is in the heart of the city, super convenient for walking to all the nearby attractions. Our room was spacious with a nice little veranda. There was a fridge and microwave, which came in handy. Just wish the bedsheets were cleaner! Breakfast wasn't great, though.
